A reminder from the ATO this week: businesses that meet certain reporting criteria may have their tax debt information disclosed to credit reporting bureaus* unless they are already engaging with the ATO to manage tax debts.
The ATO will write to a business if it intends to disclose its’ tax debt, after which point the business will have 28 days from receiving the notice to take relevant action.
